Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Congratulates Dr. Ali Qaradaghi on His Election as President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.

On Monday evening (January 8, 2024), Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, in a phone call with Dr. Ali Qaradaghi, congratulated him on the success of the International Union of Muslim Scholars' conference and his election as its president. He wished him success in serving the holy religion of Islam and defending the rights of oppressed peoples, including the people of Kurdistan.

For his part, the President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars expressed his gratitude and appreciation, and that of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, for Prime Minister Masrour Barzani's call and congratulations.

At the Sixth Congress of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, Dr. Ali Qaradaghi won 91% of the votes of the participants in the Sixth Congress of the International Union of Muslim Scholars and was elected as the president of the Union, a post previously held by Yusuf al-Qaradawi until his passing.
