Prof. Dr. Ali al-Qaradaghi Condemns Attacks on the Kurdistan Region in a Statement

In the wake of the tensions and hostilities between the US-Israel and Iran, the subsequent attacks and counter-attacks, and the targeting of other countries in the region, Prof. Dr. Ali al-Qaradaghi, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars and Chairman of the Al-Rabita Al-Insaniya organization, issued a statement expressing his solidarity and support for the Kurds of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq in the face of the attacks and aggression from Iran. In this context, he also voiced his concern for the civilians and civil institutions in the region and strongly condemned the attacks by Iran as well as those by the US and Israel.

As he stated: "I express my solidarity and support for our people in the Kurdistan Region against the hostile Iranian aggression that has targeted civilians and civil institutions in the region, as well as in other Islamic countries. These attacks have caused great damage and destructive chaos throughout the entire region."

Elsewhere, he noted that he condemns the US-Israeli attacks targeting the Iranian people and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities by the relevant parties: "At the same time, we have condemned the Zionist-American aggression against the Iranian people. We call for an immediate halt to the attacks from both sides and for the initiation of constructive dialogue to resolve all issues."
