Prof. Dr. Ali Qaradaghi Participates in Honoring 150 Quranic Students and Memorizers in Mauritania

Nouakchott, Mauritania – Professor Dr. Ali Muhyiddin Qaradaghi, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars and Head of the Humanitarian League Organization, participated in a Quranic ceremony held in Mauritania on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the founding of the "Khair Al-Wara" Quranic School. The ceremony was dedicated to graduating 150 Quran memorizers and authorized reciters with connected chains of transmission, hailed as a significant scientific and educational milestone reflecting the maturity of institutional Quranic experience in the country.

In his speech, Dr. Qaradaghi emphasized that this achievement is not merely a celebratory occasion, but a clear indicator of the importance of long-term investment in sound Quranic education, which combines proficient memorization, scientific training, and moral purification. He pointed out that this is what the Muslim Ummah currently needs amidst rapid intellectual transformations and challenging value-based issues.

Dr. Qaradaghi also reiterated that memorizing the Holy Quran is considered a fundamental gateway to building a sound religious consciousness. However, he added, the true value of its bearers lies in their ability to apply its guidance in reality and fulfill their role in teaching, guidance, and correcting misconceptions, thereby contributing to safeguarding communities from extremism, deviation, and moral void.

Prof. Dr. Ali Qaradaghi highlighted that the advancement of the Islamic Ummah cannot be achieved in isolation from a conscious and systematic return to the Book of Allah, both in understanding and application. He stressed that serious Quranic institutions represent a strategic pillar in the project of civilizational reform, due to their role in preparing individuals capable of combining adherence to foundational principles with responsible openness to the contemporary era.

Finally, Dr. Qaradaghi praised the continuous efforts of the "Khair Al-Wara" Quranic School over a decade of continuous work and its achievement in graduating hundreds of memorizers and authorized reciters. He deemed these qualitative experiences worthy of support, development, and dissemination, as a practical model for serving the Holy Quran and building individuals according to its guidance.
