His Eminence Professor Dr. Ali Muhyiddin Al-Qaradaghi, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars and the Human Development League, expressed his deepest condolences and profound sympathy to His Excellency President Masoud Barzani, His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani (President of the Kurdistan Region), His Excellency Masrour Barzani (Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government), Mr. Qubad Talabani (Deputy President of the Region), Mr. Bafel Talabani (President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan), and the entire Kurdish people of all components.

This message comes following the martyrdom of a group of heroic Peshmerga and the injury of several others as a result of the aggressive attacks launched against the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

His Eminence expressed his deep sorrow over this painful tragedy, reaffirming his full solidarity with the beloved Kurdish people. He further commended the sacrifices made by the sons of the Kurds for the sake of the security and stability of the region.

He prayed to Almighty God to grant the martyrs the highest ranks in Paradise, to bestow patience and solace upon their families, and to grant a speedy recovery to the injured. He also expressed his hope that the Almighty would protect the Kurdistan Region and all Muslim nations from every evil, rid the people of these wars and turmoils, and extinguish the flames of conflict to bring about peace, prosperity, and stability for all nations.
