Dr. Ali Qaradaghi
In the village of Nawti in Qaradagh district of Sulaymaniyah province, in July 1949 corresponding to 1368 Kurdish calendar, Dr. Ali Mohiuddin Qaradaghi was born. It is worth mentioning that the Qaradagh region has historically been the cradle of several great scholars and wise men such as Master Sheikh Abdullatif the Great, Master Sheikh Mohammad Najib Qaradaghi, Master Sheikh Omar Qaradaghi, Master Sheikh Mustafa Qaradaghi, Master Sheikh Baba Rasula, Master Sheikh Nuruddin, Master Sheikh Najmuddin, as well as being the birthplace of the great Kurdish mystic scholar Mawlana Khalid Naqshbandi.
