Prof. Dr. Ali Qaradaghi, Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Iran, where two explosions near the tomb of Qasem Soleimani in Kerman province resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.
The two explosions occurred at a time when the cemetery was crowded, due to the commemoration of the anniversary of Qasem Soleimani's death. This led to a large number of casualties, estimated so far at nearly 100 dead and 141 injured.
In this regard, Prof. Dr. Ali Qaradaghi stated in his declaration:
"I strongly condemn the terrorist attacks in Kerman province in Iran, which caused numerous innocent casualties and the shedding of innocent blood due to this abhorrent and unacceptable act.
Upon reflection on these heartbreaking tragedies, we are reassured that the enemies make no distinction between the components of the Islamic nation. Therefore, the Muslim nation must unite to protect its interests and entities. It is also important that we express our support for the families of the victims, extend our condolences to them, and pray for a speedy recovery for the injured.
Such incidents make us realize the truth that the international community must unite its efforts and strive to confront terrorism in all its forms, especially the most dangerous of them, which is the terrorism of the brutal Zionist occupying state, which knows no law, no ethics, and no humanity."
