In Erbil, Al-Qaradaghi and Salahaddin Bahaddin Met and Emphasized the Importance of the Peace Process

On the evening of Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in the city of Erbil, Mr. Salahaddin Mohammed Bahauddin, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU), welcomed a high-level delegation from the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), led by Professor Dr. Ali al-Qaradaghi.

In a warm and friendly meeting, both sides thoroughly discussed the general situation of the Islamic world and the new changes and developments the region is witnessing.

Another main focus of the meeting was dedicated to the peace process in North Kurdistan (Bakur). Both sides agreed on the necessity of supporting this crucial step and stressed the importance of working towards its success to achieve a comprehensive and lasting peace in the north and all other regions of Kurdistan.
