KRG Prime Minister and IUMS President Emphasize Coexistence and Regional Stability

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the Honorable Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, received the esteemed Islamic scholar, Professor Dr. Ali Qaradaghi, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, both sides thoroughly exchanged views on the general situation in the Kurdistan Region and the broader area. They concurrently stressed the necessity of preserving peace and stability, and deepening the spirit of coexistence, harmony, and brotherhood among all peoples and diverse communities in the region.

This visit is part of a series of important meetings held by the IUMS President with senior officials in the Kurdistan Region. The objective of these engagements is to discuss current regional issues and to lay a stronger foundation for the advancement of the Region, as well as to enhance the spirit of fraternity and social cohesion among all segments of society in Kurdistan.
