Dr. Ali Qaradaghi visited Somalia

On Tuesday, February 6, the Speaker of the Somali Parliament, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nuur Madobe, met with the President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Professor Dr. Ali Muhyiddin Qaradaghi.

Also present at the meeting were the Secretary-General of the Somali People's Committee, several other heads of parliamentary committees, the director of the Qatar Charity office - Somalia branch, the head of the Zamzam Organization, and some aides and assistants to the Speaker of Parliament.

The discussion focused on several important common issues, along with improving cooperation between government agencies and development organizations.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Speaker of Parliament welcomed Dr. Ali Qaradaghi and his visit to Somalia, and appreciated the efforts of the International Union of Muslim Scholars in addressing the issues of the Islamic world.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Ali Qaradaghi presented his ideas on legislation and its importance, emphasizing that the Islamic world needs regulations that reflect the issues of the nation and the Islamic world in general. He also spoke about the importance of Islamic laws in Somalia's newly developing and active banks. His remarks also covered development issues and support for the country's development organizations, calling for more efforts in this regard.

The Speaker of Parliament, for his part, expressed his pleasure at the delegation's visit and emphasized the importance of the leadership role of development organizations in building society and improving and elevating Islamic, humanitarian, and social values. He also stressed the importance of intensifying cooperation and exchanging experiences in humanitarian affairs and sustainable development.

It is worth noting that the visit of the President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars falls within the framework of implementing the "Kafi Project" for distributing humanitarian aid and distributing small projects to low-income individuals in the country.
