Prof. Dr. Ali Muhyiddin Qaradaghi Participated in the Istanbul International Book Fair and Connected with Readers

With the arrival of this year's Istanbul International Arabic Book Fair, Prof. Dr. Ali Muhyiddin Qaradaghi, as always, participated in the fair with his valuable works, making several important books available to readers. It is worth noting that he demonstrated his physical presence among the people, participated in the fair, and interacted closely with readers.

As he announced in a message:

"This image reflects my deep belief in culture, thought, and closeness to people.

I was pleased with the public's interest in my books at this year's Istanbul International Book Fair. I believe that a Muslim intellectual is a term that can be understood as being above conventional and ancient academic learning, because the individual Muslim intellectual has the ability to positively impact their society.

Muslim intellectuals must deeply understand their reality and present, and they bear a moral and social responsibility that drives them to engage in the process of developing thought and practically implementing the values of Islam.

The Muslim intellectual must be a link and a bridge between their society's cultural heritage and contemporary needs, striving for understanding and cooperation between these two sides, rather than attempting to separate and isolate them.

The role of Muslim intellectuals is not merely to think in a good or academic field; rather, they must have effective reactions to the daily issues of their societies. They must strive more for dialogue, construction, active participation, and cooperation in social and economic issues to create a productive environment that supports raising public awareness.

If intellectuals and thinkers remain only within their scientific and informational palaces, far from the problems and concerns of the people, they will fail to bring about the desired and advocated change and will lose trust and influence among the people.

In contrast, active engagement in social life, whether through education, or public dialogue and debate, demonstrates the commitment of scholars and academics to their responsibilities."
