Qubad Talabani Congratulates Dr. Ali Qaradaghi

Following the election of Prof. Dr. Ali Qaradaghi as the President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, during the Sixth Congress of the Union, Kak Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, in a phone call with Dr. Ali Qaradaghi, congratulated Prof. Dr. Ali Qaradaghi on his election as the President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.

In the same phone call, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government congratulated him on the success of the Union's congress and his election as the President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars. He wished that Dr. Ali Qaradaghi, in this new role, would further serve the holy religion of Islam and continue to be a symbol of service in that path, consistently defending the rights of oppressed peoples throughout the world in general, and the Kurdish people in particular.
