Dr. Ali Qaradaghi

Did you come late, did you bring little???

By: Hussein Najmaddin Qaradaghi

In most of the developed countries of the world, individuals and organizations that offer public benefits and humanitarian projects to the people, country, and humanity are honored in various ways, their services are celebrated, and they are perpetuated as symbols of respect and loyalty for future generations.

In 2012, when a portion of the Kurdish people from Western Kurdistan (Syria) were displaced to the Kurdistan Region (Southern Kurdistan) due to the revolution and uprising, His Excellency Dr. Ali Qaradaghi, through the charitable Kurdish Islamic Rabita organization, which he presides over, ordered all branches of that organization in Kurdistan to come to the aid of their displaced Kurdish brothers. With the help of philanthropists from abroad and within Kurdistan, several relief projects were implemented for them:

  1. At the beginning of their displacement and settlement in the Domiz camp/Duhok in 2012, several relief projects were implemented for them with an amount of (300,000,000) three hundred million dinars, such as providing mattresses, blankets, household necessities, oil, and heaters...etc. In the summer of 2013, as the first prominent figure, president of a charitable organization, and Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, he visited the camp to show solidarity and share in their hardships, and with his own hands, he presented some of the aid to them.

  2. For a period of more than (2) years, through the establishment and construction of a charitable bread (samun) bakery inside the Domiz camp, (5000) five thousand loaves of bread were presented to the residents of the camp daily as assistance.

  3. In 2014, during the confrontation of Kobani against ISIS and the displacement of a portion of its population to Turkey, upon the order of Dr. Ali Qaradaghi, the charitable Islamic Rabita organization sent a high-level delegation to the city of Urfa in Turkey and assisted (1500) displaced families from Kobani within Turkey with blankets, mattresses, and household necessities. For this, the Kurdistan Parliament sent a letter of thanks to Rabita.

  4. In the winter of 2016, through a special project titled ("In the cold winter, we help the Kurds of Rojava"), assistance was provided in the cities of Duhok, Erbil, and Sulaimaniyah. (6000) displaced families of our Kurdish brothers from Rojava benefited from this project, which consisted of providing (blankets, mattresses, heaters, and household necessities).

  5. In the spring of 2016, a development project in the Barika camp for displaced people from Rojava, which was the construction of a mosque and an events hall, was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Ali Qaradaghi and the camp administration. At the opening ceremony, Dr. Ali Qaradaghi said ("We apologize to you for presenting you with 2 projects today, as you deserve much more and you are the true hosts.")

  6. The University of Human Development, which is a non-profit university, by the order of its owner (Dr. Ali Qaradaghi), (230) students from Rojava were admitted free of charge and are continuing their studies, and some have graduated. The amount of money waived by the university as a gift presented to them was approximately two billion dinars.

And in recent days, as the city of Afrin has faced the invasion and attack of the Turkish army, he has clearly and openly defended the rights of the oppressed and the residents of that city, saying ("That Turkish attack should have been against the Assad regime, not Afrin and the Kurds.")

Now, for the clarification of the sincere and as a response to some so-called writers on social media, we present this information, which is a portion of this man's service to the Kurds of Rojava. In total, the value was (4,933,000,000) four billion, nine hundred and thirty-three million dinars, which equals (3,946,400) three million, nine hundred and forty-six thousand, four hundred dollars.

Now I and the readers know and we will get the answer to my initial question, Your Excellency Dr. Ali Qaradaghi, did you come late and bring little...?????
