In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
On the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Fitr, in my own name and on behalf of the officials and all the staff of the Humanitarian League Organization, I extend my warmest congratulations to the citizens of Kurdistan and the Kurdish people around the world, especially in our beloved Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
I hope that Almighty God has accepted the fasting, worship, and good deeds from us all. I also hope that during this month, our devotion to God has increased and that we have gathered a good provision of taqwa (God-consciousness) and piety to protect us from sin and transgression until the next year.
Eid al-Fitr is the celebration of victory over unruly instincts, satanic desires, and sinful inclinations. We hope that after Ramadan, we will continue our worship and good deeds with the same vigor and zeal, and prove that Ramadan has helped mold a righteous Muslim individual who will be a source of goodness and happiness for our society.
May your Eid be blessed, and may you always be in celebration and joy.
Your brother,
Dr. Ali Muhiuddin al-Qaradaghi
