At the beginning of the book, Dr. Ali Qaradaghi provides a definition of development from an Islamic intellectual standpoint and identifies the rulings, conditions, and pillars of comprehensive development.
In the second section of the book, the author focuses on the differences in development between the First World (generally Western countries) and the Third World (generally Eastern countries), and then linguistically defines the term "development."
In the subsequent section, the book defines corruption and identifies its types, then discusses each type, including administrative, financial, political, and environmental corruption. In the discussion of administrative and financial corruption, bribery and money laundering are presented as examples, and their rulings and penalties are outlined. Concurrently, the author explores the causes and Islamic solutions for these problems.
Environmental corruption is another type of corruption the author discusses. In this regard, he clarifies the impacts of environmental corruption on several aspects and then presents Islam's stance and solutions for this issue.
In the final sections of this book, the author briefly discusses political corruption and then concludes the book by addressing the obstacles and impediments to development in the Islamic world.
